Highlight Verses | 1 Chronicles 11:10 Now these were the heads of the mighty men whom David had, who strengthened themselves with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make him king, according to the word of the Lord concerning Israel. NKJV
Some Observations | The weight of a Kingdom never rests upon the shoulders of one man. It is not one hook, it is not one well ‘raw-plugged’ screw that holds all the weight of nation above the dusty floors of this world, but rather, it is many strengthened nails, many well positioned hooks, who all together hold up a country and make the Kingdom and the King to shine. So, David is providentially provided with those most necessary ‘mighty men,’ who, along with him were forged tensile by their service and thus strengthened in their position, to become the great fixings of this Kingdom of might and rising majesty.
A Call To Action | You too need to be strengthened to be enabled to take the weight that is coming upon you. God will provide you with men who are undergoing or have undergone the same tensile training as yourself. Rejoice therefore in pressures, pain and hardship, in feinting’s, fasting’s and fears, for God is preparing for you a Kingdom, and preparing you for a Kingdom. Those who have traveled with you longest and through the harshest of times, may prove to be those solid, steadfast and sure folk, that will uphold the outworked will of God in your life in all the years to come. Keep friends very close.
