HIGHLIGHT VERSES | 1 John 1:1-4
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life — the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us —that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. NKJV
SOME SIGNPOST WORDS | ‘FULLNESS OF JOY!’
SOME OBSERVATIONS | Joy is the truly ‘human’ fruit of the Christian life. A fruit of the Spirit for sure, but when manifest in us, it becomes the most desirable of all the gifts to other souls which might walk beneath the now big boughs of our little happy-tree. Joy is a magnet for sorry souls, you see. Joy is a fragrance that lifts the head of others to sniff the air in smiling enquiry. Joy is a desire to other’s eyes. Joy is a fruit that moves other lips to ask the questions of, ‘why?’ and ‘how?’ Joy is the promoter of smiling intrigue painted on the faces of others. Joy is a plump & luscious fruit that needs biting into you. Joy is a communicable gift of God to us & a gift of God to others through us. Joy is food from the eternal feast that can be enjoyed right here upon the earth. Joy is a never shriveled offering. Joy is ours. Joy is yours.
A CALL TO ACTION | The maintenance of joy is achieved by walking in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit will focus us on Christ our Savior. A focus on Jesus our magnificent Lord and Savior achieves the maintenance of all our joy.
