Hi Ladies,
So I was eating a salad for lunch and my friend came by with a bag of BBQ flavored chips. I thanked her and told her I was trying to "be good". She then pointed out that the chips had 40% less fat- so, I said "Well, that changes everything"! Now I am finished the chips and haven't touched my salad!
Anyone want to talk about food?
I hope we can support and encourage one another - this is a huge issue for women. I don't know one woman who isn't affected by body image on a daily basis.
In the meantime, check out the attached pic

Hi Again,
In my previous post, I wanted to start things off light-heartedly. But, I also want to note the seriousness of this issue- for most of us, this is a real and painful struggle. And for some (probably a lot more than we realize), the issue is very serious. For me, weight and self-image has been a battle for over 30 years.
Please feel free to share your thoughts and questions here.
If you need someone to talk to confidentially, please call our women's ministry at 855-662-6657 (option 6) or send me an email at Julie.Mason@66books.tv
In His love, Julie

I am not a lady but a mid 50's man with a pudding baby. I love food! I think exercise is important. If you eat well, exercise well!

HI Julie I can so relate to this issue. I think I can top your 30 years of poor body image, for me it's probably about 45 years! I don't remember a time when I didn't feel guilty about eating to one degree or another, trouble is, I love food and believe it's a wonderful gift from God!!! So looking forward to the day when this will no longer be a struggle
